Born in Cork, Ireland, brought up on the edge of Dublin and based in Los Angeles since 1996, Phil Harrington is the CEO of youbloom plc. Originally qualified as a doctor from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. He became interested in alternative medicines, which led him among other things into music therapy, and in turn, creating his own music www.philharrington.com and getting involved with the music industry through youbloom. He also founded the charity Human Health Project “a peoples’ healthcare data utility”. Alongside his work in medicine, he grew the largest consumer electronics distribution company in Ireland.

Originally conceived as an artist cooperative with over a hundred founding shareholders, youbloom’s vision is to help solve the unsustainability of independent musicians, giving independent musicians the opportunity to perform in more cities around the world, gain more visibility, find more fans, earn more money and learn from and network with music industry professionals using tools like disruptive technology, crowdsourcing, alternative venues, artist partnering & more! youbloom also hosts two annual music summit festivals in LA and Dublin.
