Born to legendary Jazz musician and composer, Ray Draper, Hakim has been in the music business his entire life. Hakim is a results-proven entrepreneurial executive with 20+ years of accomplishment developing artists, building growth, success, and profitability. He built his small studio, Cage Music, up to a full-service media factory developing artists, creating radio content, servicing major tech companies and franchises, as well as a music publishing catalog, which he later sold to a major. Hakim served as an executive for Warner Music Group prior to stepping down in January 2016 to start his latest endeavor, The Boogie Shack.

Hakim has also spent time in the Silicon Valley where he worked for fortune 500 Companies like Agile Software and Ariba Technologies. He has done early stage development and brand strategy consulting for dozens of music acts, television & radio content, brands, and businesses that have gone on to become household names.
